Ingredients
Eighteen actives. One balm. Zero compromises.
Most skincare brands hide behind their ingredient lists. We'd rather explain ours. Below is every active in Bellure, what it does, and why we chose it.
The renewal complex
Retinol — the gold standard of anti-ageing. Retinol accelerates skin cell turnover, helping to soften the appearance of fine lines, even out skin tone and refine texture over time. We use a stabilised, low-irritation form suitable for daily use.
Sodium DNA (PDRN) — a polynucleotide derived from salmon DNA, widely used in advanced aesthetic clinics. PDRN supports skin repair and rejuvenation at a cellular level, helping skin look fresher and more resilient.
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) — a coenzyme involved in skin cell energy production. As NAD levels naturally decline with age, topical application helps support the skin's renewal processes.
The plumping complex
Soluble Collagen — provides immediate plumping and a firmer-looking finish. While topical collagen doesn't replace the collagen in your skin, it visibly improves bounce and smoothness on application.
Elastin — works alongside collagen to improve the appearance of elasticity, helping skin look firmer and more youthful.
Sodium Hyaluronate — a smaller-molecule form of hyaluronic acid that penetrates more effectively than standard HA. It holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water, delivering intense, long-lasting hydration.
The smoothing peptides
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 — a signal peptide that supports the skin's natural collagen production, visibly smoothing fine lines over time.
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 — a calming peptide that helps reduce the appearance of redness and inflammation, particularly useful for sensitive or reactive skin.
The nourishing base
Plant Squalane — derived from sugarcane (not shark, ever). Squalane mimics the skin's own lipids, delivering deep hydration without any greasy residue. It's one of the most well-tolerated oils in skincare.
Phosphatidylcholine — a phospholipid that reinforces the skin barrier and helps other actives penetrate where they're needed.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E) — a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from environmental stress and oxidative damage.
The brightening botanicals
Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract — a traditional East Asian botanical with soothing and brightening properties, used for centuries in skincare.
Caffeine — well known for its de-puffing and circulation-boosting effects. Particularly effective around the eye area.
What's not in it
No parabens. No sulphates. No synthetic fragrance. No phthalates. No formaldehyde-releasers. No animal testing — ever. Suitable for vegetarians (please note: PDRN is derived from salmon, so the balm is not vegan).
